The main objective of the Idea Acquisition or Merger Project is to enable new Legal Entity and migrate all the master and Open transactions & historical data of Acquired or merged entity into survived Legal Entity.
The scope of these project majorly involve Data migration. The data migration would Involve below mentioned activities:
| Data Extraction | Data to be migrated needs to be identified and retrieved from source system. Data Extraction will be done from the system based on the data extraction logic for each data element. |

| Data Validation and Cleansing | Extracted data will be shared with Business Owners and other designated members of user community. Business community will validate the extracted data by running relevant reports in source system. If required they will cleanse the data in the system before migration cut-over. |
| Data Mapping | All required data and data relationships between the entities should be to be accurately represented in the systems Business will provide the data mapping for many masters like Supplier Sites, customer sites, Inventory Organizations etc. |
| Data Migration | The data will be migrated from merging Legal Entities to survived Legal Entity based on the data migration approach for each data element. |
| Data Reconciliation | Data reconciliation activity will be performed during data migration to ensure accuracy and completeness of the migrated data. |
